I enjoy floating the river, fly fishing, golf and exploring back roads. I am inspired by the beauty of the world in which we live. My paintings attempt to portray the mood and light of these landscapes. I aspire to create paintings that are traditional and easy on the eye, providing the viewer with an image that is timeless. I also portray people in daily life activities or historical settings that give an insight into the way they live/lived. My current work of Native American Indians shows my great respect for their culture and their ability to survive in harsh conditions. I enjoy painting plein air (outside) for the fresh immediate feeling. I also do studio work on larger pieces.
